The image of you is starting to fade

The outline is hazy, can't remember the shade

Of your hair in the moonlight, now its all gray

Teardrops like raindrops are memories made

Eyes that were vivid when all was still new

Time has erased their glorious hue

Hazel, light green with a dancing gold cast?

I can't seem to grasp what I thought I had viewed.

The scent of your skin as fresh summer air

Lingered about even when you weren't there

Trapped it in a shirt you'd left behind

To remind me of arms around me I'd wear

Smiles and soft words from wine colored lips

Became for me light the darkness eclipsed

But silence engulfed, and empty once more

Into yesterday's hollowness your voice again slips.

Pictures of you into past yellows twist

As curtains of stages close a play that I missed

I tried to catch up but couldn't see through

All remains are the shadows, and wisps of your kiss.
